I’m an English and Theology teacher and writer living in Melbourne, Australia. For the past fourteen years, I have taught primary, secondary, and tertiary students in a range of settings, from public and Christian schools, to homeschool co-ops, undergraduate programs, adult education, as well as homeschooling my own children. I am passionate about creating communities of learning that are academically challenging and character forming, and I love the way that classical education prioritizes both of those. My desire is to help students to develop delight and wonder at the beauty, goodness, and truth of God’s world and of God himself.

The Ramsay Centre is hosting an evening to find out more about St John’s with Associate Professor Andrew Poe. He will deliver a lecture on “Thinking and Unthinking Political Necessity: A Democratic Reading of Book 2 of Plato’s Republic" and share his experience of the Great Books education he received at St John’s College. The talk will be followed by light refreshments and conversation.
